Oddly enough, I've noticed a lot of Ohio plates in Northern Arizona lately (I'm only an hour south of the Grand Canyon). Hate to say it, but the new Ohio license plates look god-awful...

They're embarrassing and don't paint a flattering picture of Ohio.

When I switched to Ohio plates last fall, I opted for the "Wildlife" plates with the cardinal on it. When I told the girl at the BMV that I wanted the alternate plate, she said "So you don't like the new plates either, do you?"

I don't like 'em either. On the odd chance I see one around these parts, I think they're from ... Iowa.

The new plates are terrible. I as well have recieved an Iowa vibe when I look at them. I like the ones I have with the Applachian Foothills in the background with the sun setting. They are plain, not too much thought put into it. The ones now look like they gave a box of crayola crayons to a 2nd grade class and ask them to draw what they thought Iowa looked like.

I always see a lot of Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina plates.

The wife and I play the license plate game everytime we go out. We catch at least 10-20 different plates each time.

I seem to see a lot of Illinois plates, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia. Also Missouri.
It is true about a lot of OH plates in SC...at Myrtle Beach, it seemed like every other car was from OH!

The good news about the new Ohio plates for us military veteran/retired plateholders: We only have to endure the Wright Bros. biplane in the top line. The barn and grain are omitted!
