The CEO did an interview with the Charlotte Business publication Chiquita's CEO talks about relocation - Charlotte Business Journal
A UNCC study says that Chiquita's economic impact to the other Queen City will be $100 million/yr (generate $9 million/yr in taxes).
Sounds like he will remain a Reds fan but looks like he's flip flopping on the Bengals to become a Pathers fan...

But just talking to Charlotte's "top banana" has got to be pretty exciting...

This news has got to send shivers down Chiquita's spineless banana back:

Report: Delta eyes US Airways - Business Courier

Charlotte's airport would find itself in the exact same boat as CVG if this move comes to fruition. There's absolutely no way - less than zero percent chance - that Delta would operate a major hub in Atlanta and another 200 miles away in Charlotte.

I have to totally agree. If Delta acquires US Airways, Cincinnati and Charlotte are in the same boat.

Aren't we learning from companies are getting too big, they get too big to fail? These companies are doing nothing but devastating local economies. How the government can continue to allow these mergers is beyond me.

No smart money in Cincinnati ever expected the Delta Hub to last. Therefore, its impact on attracting businesses to Cincinnati was not as big of a deal as its proponents said it was.

Money is on American/USAir matchup which bodes well for CLT hub.

American has to make it out of bankruptcy first. But I agree that has been the recent trend, go bankrupt and then expand. US business at its best.
