Why did you take on five new puppies if you can't afford to feed them? And pit bulls no less ...

There are probably better ways to go about getting help for those animals than asking anonymously on CD. Something doesn't seem at all legitimate about this.

Hello. Hopefully people have sent you direct messages as it is discouraging that you have not received many replies in the forum. I am not from OH but your post caught my eye since I love animals and know that animals are suffering now more than ever b/c of the economy.

I presume you've done an internet search, but, in case you haven't, here's what I found:

Here's a link to a site that provides links to various organizations:

Having Trouble Affording Your Pet? : The Humane Society of the United States

I would start by contacting angelsforanimals.org. Call or email and get in touch with assistance closest to you. It is important than obviously along with food you need to get all of those dogs fixed. It isn't fair to them to keep over producing as so many animals get euthenized due to over population, and, I've heard that b/c of housing restrictions, etc., pit bulls are in dire need of homes.

I just found this regarding food:

Here is a link to the Cincinnati Pet Food Pantry:

Home

If you are close to a petco or petsmart, you can stop in and see if they have info and resources as well. While it is most important to make sure the dogs are fed, you need to also make sure they are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Both places usually have low-cost spay/neuter/vaccination and microchipping clinics. Again, once you get in place to be able to feed them, please be sure to take care of the rest of their needs.

Sometimes it takes a little searching and time, but, there are resources out there for pet owners. While there are too many uncompassionate people out there, there are also people who will pitch in to help animals in need. Honestly, if I were in your area, I'd buy you some pet food. I'm sure there are people out there closer to you who would do the same.

Good luck to you.

In your case, euthanasia makes sense. Learn to say goodbye and return to the human world. Real quick.
