I am trying to be a nicer person and that effort prevents me from posting the obvious conclusion from your post. Suffice it to say that you really don't know what you are talking about. The casino site is as active a construction site as I have ever seen. There are a half dozen cranes on site all in action. And, what was a mud hole a couple of months ago (and has been for the past 30 years) has buildings springing up with what appears to be the structural steel at full height. The parking garage is as big as any ever built here and the whole project is on schedule even after the politicians had to waste more than half a year to straighten out what the last group of Strickland crooks did.

Wilson... I have a different feeling from you. I have no idea how the casino is coming nor do I care. The last time I was past that area is I believe last fall when going down and back I-71/I-65 to Elizabethtown KY to visit the kids. But now mostly the kids come to visit us.

Once the politicians get done with it, any good it could bring to the area will be ruined. It and the rest will end up like the Ohio Lottery, a lot of hoopla and little benefit. Remember when the Lottery was going to solve our school funding problem?

Wilson513 is exactly correct: The casino construction site is really humming now. The entire site looks completely different than it did even this summer. The structural framework of the building is now rising from the ground and already commands attention.

Like everyone else here has affirmed, cincy71, you needn't look for any rose colored eyeglasses to see the progress being made--it's taken off. I've observed it firsthand riding past on Reading Rd while on a #4 Metro and on Gilbert Ave while on a #11 Metro. The landscape behind the tarps changes almost daily.

The lottery in other states, as well as other states' casinos will be no different than what is going/has been going on in Ohio.
