Chipotle is so full of flavor. All of their meats are wonderfully seasoned. And there are so many ways to combine their ingredients. It's not just a choice of salad or a sandwich. I ate there at least once a week when I lived in Cincinnati.

Your poll is not exactly buring up the forum. I just voted for neither since I do not patronize either one. I do not hate them, I just am not familiar with either. The only one I have ever been in is Chick-Fil-A, strictly nondescript in my estimation.

Seems like a "plant" to me. Why would somebody take a poll regarding national fast-food chains instead of local purveyors? It does get interesting here whenever discussion starts around where one can get the best ice cream, Cincy chili, holiday "schnecken," hamburger, etc.

I only patronize chain restaurants when I'm not inclined to cook (which is most of the time), and when cash is in short supply. Although the Chick-Fil-A ads are uproarious, I'm one of those people who puts their money where their mouth is politically. The Christian Right attitudes of the company head clash with what I believe, and McDonald's has cloned the signature sandwich, so I never drop dollars there. Nor do I give much business to Mickey D's, since fast food has next to zero nutritional value OR taste and the industry is disastrous to the natural world. What's cleverly not mentioned very prominently is that Chipotle is a division of McDonald's. So although their restaurant signs and promo materials make much of what a "sustainable" operation they are, that doesn't count for a lot. Plus, even in New England with its tiny Mexican population there are some good local Tex-Mex and even "authentic" restaurants and taquerias. That means there's no reason to boost an international corporation's bottom line.

I like Chik-fil-A. I think that it is great that they believe that it is important to give their employees one day off that they can plan to spend with their families.

And their food is much better than the awful McDonald's clone. And they offer healthy options.

Chipotle's reminds me a lot of McDonald's. It sort of tastes like Mexican food BUT falls short to anyone who has been in a tacqueria.

I never knew what the big deal to Chipotle was. I have friends in the Lansing area in Michigan, they have a place by MSU's campus called Mena's Joint, now that is far better than anything Chipotle could offer.

Chipotle is in Cincy? That alone is worth the drive from Louisville.
