Apartments near Cincinnati State College (Hamilton, Clifton: rental, employment, high school)

I really need help finding a fairly inexpensive studio or 1 bedroom apartment near Cincinnati State College. I'm a 22 year old single male that just got out of the military so I don't need a whole lot. Are there any apartments in the area that work with the needs of college students because I will only be receiving military funding at first then I will be looking for a job after I get established. The reason I asked that question is because I know a lot of places, you have to show proof of employment or six months of income or something to that extent to even be considered for approval. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

CSTU is on the corner of Central Parkway and Ludow Avenue in the "Clifton" part of Cincy. I live across the street from old Central High School (CSTU). In fact; I went to computer school there. "Downtown" Clifton is a cool shopping/living area with tons of UC and CSTU students. Lotsa apartments in Clifton and nearby (south toward Hughes Corner). "Northside" is just across I-75, along Ludlow Ave (becomes Hamilton Ave. as you cross I-75) with lower rental cost.
