Dayton has around 2,200 people living downtown. That's absolutely insane that they are being considered for one and Cincy is not. Dayton also has around (or had) a 37% office vacancy rate in their CBD. Last I knew that was a worse number than Detroit has. Feel free to update me, my information may be somewhat dated. Either way, their downtown is in really bad shape. Personally, I would not be surprised to see a grocery store fail there.

I think a grocery store in downtown Cincy would thrive as things stand today, and only get better as more people move downtown. I live so close to Vine Street, that I would shop there in a heartbeat.

I'm posting this because Cincinnati is NOT on the list, and we certainly would have been just a couple years ago.

Cincinnati does have Findlay Market and thats not even downtown, as residents move into our downtown were going to need a grocery store, whole foods would be nice but its a shame that Ohio's largest metro has less public services then cleveland.

Findlay is downtown. OTR is a downtown neighborhood. CBD, Pendleton, OTR, West End are all pretty much downtown.

If you are reffering to the heart of downtown i say anything below central parkway and between the 1-71 and 1-75.
