I have no direct knowledge about the players involved in this particular case. I'm convinced, though, that personal relationships play a much bigger role in these types of decisions than does fair competition. It's the only explanation for the rather similar Pettus-Brown/Empire Theater fiasco. I said earlier he had submitted a one-page grant application, but honestly, I was exaggerating. I think it was actually two pages.

I wish the sentiments felt here were also felt towards mike brown. If you want to talk about people who are experts at getting free money he's up there.

Mike Brown is already in the top 10 most hated people in Cincinnati. For my part, I'd move him to the top 3 but I think the blame is already squarely placed on his shoulders for his endless greed and avarice.

What a wonderful list to have. Good grief ...

I can't think of 10 people I hate, period (without having to resort to terrorist leaders or al-Assad or someone like that), let alone 10 people in Cincinnati.

I think the "list" is more directed at people's actions than at the people themselves. It's pretty easy to hate some of Mike Brown's management actions without even knowing Mr. Brown personally.
