Hi -

I just found this forum. Very cool! I was wondering if there is anywhere that I could take my two younger kids (3 & 6) swimming for a day. We are in northern Cinci, but we are open to driving. I looked into the Mason Community Center (really expensive) and the Lebanon Y (must come with a member). Great Wolf is too much and CoCo Key is closed right now during the week.

Thanks for your suggestions!!

If you have been following another thread in this forum on the same subject, you can tell indoor swimming options open to the public are limited. There are a number of facilities, but most are geared to you being a member, whether the various Ys around town, the fitness clubs, etc.

You mentioned the Mason Community Center was expensive. Do you have any friends who are Mason residents and belong to it? I am not sure about current rates, but previously a member could bring quests for a quite reasonable day rate.

Great Wolf Lodge is an outright tourist trap. The wife got the bright idea of putting our two out-of-state kids and their families up there for a week between Christmas and New Years. Four adults and 5 kids. Even though they qualified for military discounts, it was still expensive. I told the kids to spend every moment they could in the water park with the young grandkids, which they did. But at least for the money we spent they gave us day passes for the local grandkids to come and join in.

usually there's one place in each neighborhood has public swimming pool. You just need to pay about 3-5 bucks/ person. Like in Greenhills area, I took my daughter once over there, since it's pricey to join a membership ( besides it's only a couple months, but you pay for the whole year price ).

Sometimes I go to my friend's house whose has a swimming pool ( she just bought the house last year ), and so very close to my house.

Call your township/county or check the web in which area you live. Usually it tells you what it has ( parks, schools, ect )
