Where to dump shingles? Hamilton, Ohio (Chillicothe, Montgomery: asbestos, contractor, roofing)

I have a truck load of shingles and trying to find a place to dump them. Can anyone tell me where I can dump them? Maybe a phone number if you happen to have it.

it is really annoying.. i found a video a youtube that i think might help you. just search vygone there, watch the video and read comments. i think it will give you an idea how to dump your shingles.

Ds68, I live in Montgomery Co. so I don't know about Butler Co. But I'm sure they have a Solid Waste Disposal Facility as Montgomery Co. does. They should be listed in the "government" pages in the front of your phone book. When we took yard waste there, they charged us for the weight, which seemed to be a reasonable rate. Good luck!

ds68--you are pretty close to the Rumpke land fill, why not take them there? Whatever you do PLEASE do not just take it to someones dumpster and leave it. People do that to our small business dumpster all the time and it can be very frustrating to deal with cleaning up other peoples messes or to come in and have your dumpster overflowing when it was just emptied.

Do the shingles contain asbestos? If so, you might want to give the EPA a call first, and perhaps they could tell you where to dispose of them.

You could also contact a roofing contractor and simply ask them.
