Hello,

My daughter will be moving to Cincinnati to start a new job. She is interested in a place with in unit laundry, second floor or higher and in a safe area. Where do you recommend? Budget would be approximately $1000 a month for a 1 bedroom. She was thinking of living in Hyde Park, or in a suburb outside of Cincy. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

It would help to know what part of town her job is in. I'm thinking $1,000 a month in Hyde Park with the security and amenities you describe may be a stretch. My impression is that you'll need more than $1,000 a month to get a truly decent apartment with onsite laundry in most parts of town.

^Agreed. Hard to offer advice without some idea of interests and commute.

You can find what you are looking for almost anywhere.
Basically anywhere in the city is safe, certainly safe enough for an able bodied young person like your daughter.

Just from what you said if I were to choose between Hyde Park and "suburb outside of Cincy" I'd choose Hyde Park every day. Just for perspective I'm a 26-year old white male.

For the record. A lot of areas are considered safe, but nowhere is truly safe.

That is why I have a CCW
