If at all possible, visit the area and do a "windshield inspection." Even in these days of craigslist and multiple other free Web options, a lot of landlords/managers don't bother posting ads. They just put up a lawn or window sign. It's all they need to do, since the location sells itself.
Turnover stays relatively high all through that vicinity, and the choice of building styles is fairly extensive. You could probably take your pick from a '60s-70s townhouse, high-rise, mid-20th-Century "brick box" or larger building, funky sorta-Swiss-chalet-looking house, and more. Prime territory is along the main traffic arteries: Linwood, Observatory, Delta, and Erie Ave's as well as Madison and Edwards Rd's. Most rentals include off-street (if not garage) parking, but not all. Nice HP side streets near the square - Michigan, Shaw, and Griffiths among them - are good for convenience without what traffic noise there is on the main drags.

Time after time those requesting information on rentals in the Hyde Park area are given the same advice from those most familiar with the neighborhood - visit the area and look for signs in yards or windows advertising For Rent. They contend many landlords do not place ads in media because they do not have to. Being one of the most desirable rental areas in Cincy, apparently people cruise the neighborhood and when they spot a potential make an inquiry. This may also help to reduce to serious inquiries only.

If you are not in the area prior to Nov.1 it makes this a bit difficult to do. Do you know anyone in the area you can get to do some of the legwork for you?

Default Relocating to Cincy

I am brandy new to posting on this type of site and not certain why I must enter a Title rather than tapping a tag or citation inside individual post. So...forgive me if the person wanting Hyde Park info does not see this.
There is a red brick 13-unit aparment building that is on east side of Zumstein Ave 5 addresses north of HP Square (not HP Plaza, which is in Oakley--not as desireable). The address should be something on the order of 3534 Zumstein. I lived there for four years under previous owner until buying a home in Madeira in 2004. All small one-bdroom units. Should be about $520 per month. ROOKWOODS and HP SQUARE are mere yards away.
