hi im a newly engaged mother of five and we are looking to start a new life in cincinatti I want a diverse but not ghetto school and neighborhood and wanting to know how hard is it to find a job that is livable without some type of assistance what are the normal starting pay rates for clerical and warehouse jobs and is it worth the move or would i be better off staying in west virginia where jobs are scarce and pay is fickle

Sorry to have to tell you this--but bringing a struggling family of five children to a city already overburdened with thousands of jobless individuals with minimal skills, all seeking a minimal number of general labor or clerical jobs, will only add to the strain on Cincinnati and its taxpayers. A long time ago, in a "golden age" of manufacturing long past, the city was indeed an Ellis Island and new beginning for many (either from Appalachia or the Deep South), but today those jobs have gone elsewhere. So, unless the adult member(s) of a family can bring something special to the table in the form of job skills and determination, they, too, will end up like all the rest. Not fair to anybody, really--better to remain in WV and tough it out until better times return.
