This lot is located at Eastgate Mall (near Anderson); it is situated on the parking lot near Kohl's and "Logans" restaurant. They have Balsam firs from WI, and Fraser firs from NC. The trees are exquisite/beautiful and vary in size and price range, of course. This is the 3rd Christmas that we have gone to this site to purchase our tree. (Apparently, they have other sites in Amelia, and Montgomery respectively.)
(The owner, who is not present, is from WI. A polite and helpful worker will net and tie the tree to your vehicle.) I highly recommend. Merry and Blessed Christmas!

I think patronizing any of the boy scout troop lots around town is a worthwhile expenditure.

I have noticed our local boy scout troop, sponsored by the Mason United Methodist Church has just about sold out their tree lot. I am glad to see that as they should generate some revenue. The number of live cut tree lots seems to be diminishing. I can understand that. I am glad to see the big national chain outfits reducing their inventory of live cut trees or eliminating them completely. This gives the smaller organizations an opportunity to make a buck without such a big risk of being stuck with unsold inventory.

I put up my antique aluminum tree this year. I bought it ages ago at the Lebanon Goodwill -- the establishment that furnished my home for many years.

But ... I used to buy my trees from the Mariemont Boy Scouts. The trees cost a little more, but it was worth it.

We have gotten tired of rearranging rooms to accomodate trees. My wife went out this year and bought two new artificial trees, not sure where she got them. One is about two feet in diameter and 6 ft. or so tall. It is in 3 sections, is pre lit, and has actual pine cones immersed in the branches. Quite attractive. We added a few more ornaments and put it in a corner of the family room only requiring moving a rack of TV tables. The 2nd tree is about 4-1/2 ft tall, again pre lit, and we put it in a corner of the front room only displacing one floor lamp. It has a number of artificial red berries incorporated into it. The wife got out her collection of bird ornaments and added to it. The only problem we have is the cat is determined to slap those bird ornaments off of the tree.

Live cut natural trees are very nice to have. But I have always been concerned about the fire hazard if you keep them indoors too long aznd they dry out. One time I bought an actual live tree, with the roots wrapped in burlap, only had it indoors for a few days, but wouldn't you know it that year the temperature dropped very low freezing the ground. I attempted to use a *****xe to dig a hole to plant it, but it did not work. By spring the tree was dead.

We have a tree that's made of fiberoptics. It's cool.
