Where does a single young professional live?
Hiya,
I'm moving to Cincinnati at the beginning of next year and I haven't a clue on where to relocate. I'm a single male, 30 yrs old with a fairly good job so I'm looking for a 'yuppie' type of atmosphere. I don't want to be pretentious, just brutally honest. Where is that in the city?
I would be renting, either a 1/2 bedroom apartment or a condo. It would just be myself in the residence. Is there anywhere is Cincinnati that's known for being full of singles and developed a bit? Any help you can give me, including rent prices per month, would be great! Thanks and I love the forums on this site... everyone is very informative and knowledgeable!

Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, Mt. Adams, Downtown, and Oakley most closely fit the profile you're looking for. Clifton, Northside, Over-the-Rhine, are all great neighborhoods but I would classify them as more hipster than yuppie, though there are certainly young professionals there. Pleasant Ridge is a nice neighborhood, with a more family friendly vibe. Your housing dollar will stretch farther there. Check out cincinnati.craigslist.com for apartment listings.

Mt. Lookout, Hyde Park, Mt. Adams are the only places that fit what you're looking for, however these places tend to be a little clicky with regards to people there. Anywhere you live will be cheap, its a cheap town all around. Mt. Adams is the most expensive but still cheap.

Downtown or the Clifton area but it really depends on where you will be working.

Thanks everyone. Seems like people's suggestions are pretty consistent and that's a good thing. I'll be relocating in January so I'm hoping for the best!
