It appears as if Middletown's top-secret plan to merge its two best known suburbs...Cincinnati and Dayton...into one huge Middletown Metro are finally becoming common knowledge.

I cant imagine cincinnati would be in favor of adding counties with little to negative growth to the csa..the growth rate is far more important than adding numbers of people..many of whom could live close to 75 miles from downtown cincy.montgpmeru county would drag down the whole csa growth rate which isnt good to begin with.

I like Dayton a lot. But the fact remains the golden era with the wright brothers and NCR are long in the past. Unless Dayton and Cincinnati can figure out how to bring a larger portion of the new high tech economy to this region, both will only tread water, age, and become second rate cities.
