Is Cinci Bell really the only option? I am right on the CBD/OTR area and apparently cannnot get fiberoptics so all I have is the 5mbps option, which is literally brutal. Streaming is beyond painful, downloading is miserable.

How are you guys coping with this? What have you done about it? How the companies that work in CBD survive?

CB Fiberoptics is relatively new to the area, so it does not surprise me they do not have the service available everywhere. I have CB Fiberoptics and frankly am not thrilled with the speed. I could probably get faster by giving them more money, but that is not what I thought I was sold.

Have you contacted Time Warner? Since they have been around for umpteen years I would think they have most of downtown covered. I had them for years and years and wish I had them back. If CB tries to up my monthly rate again I probably will get TW back.

I saw that they installed the fiber lines on my street a few months ago. I was only able to get only the lowest version of the fiberoptic. 10 mbps. I ended up just getting the time warner ultimate 50 mbps down 5 mbps up for $79. It's the fastest speed I ever had. That price did not require a bundle and after a year it goes up about $5 or so.

Always be aware of the cost. Whether it is TWC or CB they both have the same subterfuge. The speed they let you access is paramter driven. They can speed you up or slow you down at any point. My biggest diappointment is their marketing objectives. They advetise you one thiing and then sell you another.
