does anyone know the history of the job corps building? the address is 1409 western avenue. the architecture is impressive. my husband attended job corps in the early 2000's and has told me some pretty scary stories about the happenings in the place. i was wondering if anyone knew the history on the place..

Dalene called it. The inscription in German over the front steps tells the story. But who's to say what uses that building has seen in its lifetime? Job Corps has occupied it since the '60s if not earlier, but the question is what the intervening years saw it being utilized for.

It was a convent not a high school I am an alumni of that building. The Job Corps center not the convent. It was a retirement home of a sort for the elderly nuns.
