Default Nearest supermarket to downtown

Ok, so I posted in another thread I had recently come to Cincy to find a place to live and decided, for a number of reasons: Downtown!!!

What is the closest supermarket to downtown (walking, driving, whatever?). I will be living in the SW Quadrant, in the Biltmore, W 4th between Central and Plum.

Thanks!
Amie

findlay market is very close and open wed-sun, best prices in the city on produce. there is a kroger in newport and a trader joes comming to bellvue kentucky. the ludlow iga is about 2.5-3 miles. there is a kroger on 13th that isn't that bad, but has no produce at all (may be because they are a few blocks from findlay. sunshine natural foods on elm; ciaciolo's on main, spatz on main, are little stores down there as well.

You could also take a quick trip on the 33 bus line (I believe) and go to the new Krogers in Western Hills. It goes directly across W. 8th and then up Glenway Ave directly to the Krogers grocery store.

the 78 goes to the corryville kroger, the 17 18 19 go to the clifton iga, the 4 goes to the walnut hills kroger, and the southbank shuttle goes somewhat near to the newport kroger.

Most people downtown hit Meijer in Norwood, or Bigg's / Kroger's in Hyde Park. Kroger's Hyde Park is the Melrose Place of Cincinnati grocery stores btw.

My favorite alternative...

Kroger's in Bellevue Kentucky.
* SAFE, easy in and out, and it's a mile from downtown.
* It literally feels like small town Kentucky even though you're just across the river from a big city.
* I always see Audi's and BMW's in the lot with Ohio plates so I know I'm not the only Ohio-sider who shops here.

Get on 471 South (big yellow bridge).
Get off at 1st exit on the Kentucky side of the river (on right side of the expressway).
Take a right at the light at the end of the exit.
Take a right at Party Source (2nd light I believe)
Take a left at the end of the street and you'll see a Kroger.
