I believe the last mid-wife clinic closed a while back. It was in Northside. Got run out by high malpractice rates and the hospital lobbies. If you're going to look for a job after you graduate, it probably won't be around here.
I never understood the need to go a hospital for childbirth, unless it was a problem pregnancy. Excluding Americans, the majority of the people I know weren't born in hospital.
