Madisonville is Hyde Park east and Indian Hill West. We love Madisonville a great deal. We bought a house here in 2003 for under 140k and we are very pleased. Close to everything and we could not be more happy with the neighborhood. As with every urban neighborhood, buying decisions are different on every street. You find a nice street, you find a nice neighborhood. We are on a nice street. Everytime we look up the house prices in HP for the same size home, we are talking a 250% increase in cost - not worth it.

I would never consider any of the first 3 because i dont particularly care for the west side. Thats just me. MadVille is a decently priced option but i prefer Oakley. Very nice neighborhood especially if you get a good street and prices will only go up as Hyde Park sprawls out. Consider Norwood too.
