I do certainly agree with you; however, the copy editor in me would like to remind you that media is plural; therefore, the local media suck.

Mr. Brill,

Did you actually read the words on that link? ...Never mind the article, did you even read the words on the link?

The Banks maybe the winner. GE is leasing temporary space in downtown Cincinnati.

I only glanced at the Enquirer story yesterday, and came away with the impression that no exact location had been announced, and that there was speculation about several possible locations. For once I'm not slamming them for this reporting. It makes perfect sense at this point in the process.

Not only did I read the article, I actually watched the televised news conference also. I didn't hear any specific location mentioned, just that the jobs would be in the Cincinnati area.

Kasich is the man. He knows how to think like a business man. Ohio finally has a governor who knows how to recruit business to the state, and has fiscal responsibility. The Enquirer has 3 fantastic articles in today's paper, including the front page headline. I love this quote by Cranley: "I want to thank the governor. I'd love to say we did it, but we didn't. It was the governor and JobsOhio that really brought this to our attention a month ago, and we're thrilled."

I respect that humility....really starting to like this guy.

GE is to announce the location for the new hub within 90 days. Really interested to see where they select.

Mason: I thought it was a slam dunk at first. GE's main Cinti ops are close to Mason (or are in Mason), fantastic schools, extrememly diverse ethnic population, plentiful land for large parking lot, and good access to 71.

Banks: GE is moving nearby to Atrium II while their new office is being built----3 year process. It will be an easier transition moving from Atrium to the Banks. Another plus: Banks would provide GE with plentiful entertainment and visibility for their employees. The big disadvantage is parking. Can the developers build ample parking for 2,000 employees at low parking rates.

I put the odds right now at 60/20/10 - Mason/Banks/Oakley.

Kasich and his entourage paraded through my company's grounds a couple of years ago touting hundreds of new jobs being relocated to it. 2-3 months later, the site lost 150 jobs. It was nothing but a photo op. The only thing Kasich knows how to do is give huge tax breaks to corporate interests which give little in return. He's a terrible "businessman" *gag* and JobsOhio has been an abject failure. Ohio has been ranked in the high 40s in job growth (50 being the worst) for the past 3 years.

Actually, Ohio is 9th in the country in private-sector job growth over the past 3 years. If Kasich is not a good businessman, than which former Ohio governors are better businessman? Ted Stickland and Dick Celeste?
