Should Cincinnati Secede from Ohio? (Columbus, Cleveland: centers, to move, estimates)

I haven't spent more than a weekend (or two) in Cincinnati, but I think it's a nice city. It's the "yin" to Cleveland's "yang." I wish Cincinnatians were less provincial, and would show more interest in being a part of the state, but regardless I for one like having the city in Ohio.

The premise of this thread is hilarious. I've said, generally speaking of course - that most Cinci people I've met are pretty disrespectful about the rest of the state... almost to the point where the ego-centrism is far from just 'loyalty'.

Most of Ohio, save for the urban areas of Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, Youngstown, Toledo, and Canton (plus, Athens County) traditionally vote with conservative values. It played out in the 2008 election. So, there is far less progressive "areas" than you might suggest. The vast majority of Ohio share the conservative values of Greater Cincinnatians.
Blue due to their blue collar values? What blue collar values? There aren't any jobs left in Cleveland thanks to their blue collar values. Cincinnati still has P & G, and GE Aviation here. There are plenty of highly trained individuals working here, ready for liberal government to get out of their way. Those two companies alone make up 40% of the the top 5 recognizable companies in the world.
I've lived in Columbus, and graduated from Kent State. I learned a lot there, but of note I learned to detest liberal policy. Personally, I'd be fine with an open season on "progressives", but I'd relish the chance to see everyone live in a truly liberal state. Who would pay the bills for the government if all the conservatives left and started their own state. Answer, no one! There would be too much crime to handle, 50% of the people wouldn't work, therefore becoming tax consumers not producers. Eventually infrastructure would fall apart. We know that urban school districts DO NOT produce well-prepared adults. Geez, if you look at it that way, you know it would fail!

My question to you is, why did you go to Kent State? You must not have done your homework in picking college, or did you think you could lead a one-man crusade for conservatism?

From this post, I find it hilarious that you decided to attend a "liberal arts" college, and the most liberal public university in Ohio, to be educated.

Iv been to Columbus and Dublin and it seems like a very rich area. Iv also been to cincinnati and it seems small and confusing. Akron resembles past Cleveland before Cleveland started revitalizing itself. Dayton seems like a small city surrounded by farmland. Sandusky is a tourist town because of cedar point and its resorts. I think that Ohio cities are very diverse. it could be a good thing. I don't think breaking up a whole state wud do any good. Heck, we are the 7th most populous state in the U.S.!!!!
