Whether that will ultimately prove successful in Cincinnati though, is probably anybody's guess.

Its proving successful in many Cincinnati neighborhoods already. Neighborhood councils are recognized as the voices of the neighborhoods and most information through the City flows through them and therefore those neighborhood councils reach out to the community or work to develop master plans for their neighborhoods or obtain funds for development of business districts. The more involved the community residents are, the more attention and improvements neighborhoods seem to get.

Lawmakers Look To Queen City As Crime-Prevention Model - Cincinnati News Story - WLWT Cincinnati - thanks for the link.
See, now this is what I was talking about. The NEWS states that LAWMAKERS think Cincinnati has a lower crime rate. HELLLLOOOOO
PS Hartwell girl - I still sooo agree with you. My whole thing is that it is not that horrible here, but the bad things that are happening, if you don't like it, DO SOMETHING. Get involved. It does make a huge difference!

ctownking, i wouldnt brag about the EC buddy, its one of the biggest sh*t-holes in the state, and you pointed out many reasons yourself. we dont let punks/guns run our hoods bro , we homeowners and families own our streets and neighborhoods (parma).

Exactly - Cincy doesnt have gangs. Maybe some 14 year old wannabes who think they are "thuggin" but gang violence/presence doesnt exist here.

cincinnati has local gangs and cliques/collectives. the city has a very high homicide rate, higher than any city in florida, higher than LA, and higher than chicago. somebody is "thuggin" in cincinnati.
