i have lived actually in northern kentucky most of my life, obviously not much gang activity there. well, not until recently. viloence has started spilling over from cincy in the past few years, and more and more kids are associating themselves with "gangs". i live in kennedy heights now, and haven't seen any crimes happen; although, i see endless teenagers walking down the street, and hear them talking baout illeagal activities (but that's a kid for you, doesn't meant hey are doing it). As far as bragging because you live in a more dangerous city,that's just idiotic. i would rather live in a safer city than have to worry about dying for wearing the wrong color, that's just a no brainer. there are some very dangerous locations in cincinnati and there are some really nice places, just like any other city. and yes, there is gang activity. just like every big city in the country. i was hanging out on calhoun in clifton when about 100 yards away on McMicken, someone got shot and killed by a gangmember. [url]http://os.cqpress.com/citycrime/2009/CityCrime2009_Rank_Rev.pdf[/url] says that cincinnati is 19th on the list of city crimes rates for 2009, that's pretty bad, chicago, it says, is not available. but out of 393 cities that are ranked on the list cincy is 19!!!!!! if was so safe like chigurl74 says it is, wouldn't it be closer to the end of the list? i mean even las vegas is 67, that means the crime rate is cincinnati is higher than las vegas. but it certainly is nothing to be proud of or brag about, really, it's sickening to think of all the children that have to grow up in places like these.
