Hey guys,

I am a new student in town. I am going to trip and it is in early morning. Since I do not have a car, I planned to go to airport earlier day before, say 7 in the evening, stay there overnight and then catch my flight. I just do not know is this plan is possible or not at all? Can I stay overnight at cvg? I prefer not to get a cab due to the price.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

There is a motel at CVG, a DoubleTree, but I am not familiar with the room rates. My experience with airport motels is they rival in cost such as a cab. Also note the motel is near the original main entrance to the airport and a good hike to the terminal you are likely flying out of.

I think the OP is asking if it's OK to spend the night hanging out at the airport?

For which I have no answer. Do the terminals close at all?

Or would they let you though security with a boarding pass for the following day? Very different from a canceled flight/stranded in the terminal.

Yes, you guessed right. I want to hangout there until the gate for my flight opens. I do not think they closed the terminal. Also about passing the security, I know that they won't let you pass 3hr before your departure. It seems that there is no choice left except cab. Any idea?

Thanks btw for the responses guys.

Why do you need to go through security to spend the night?

Right, stay out front, someplace like the baggage claim area. Find as comfortable a resting place as you can and spend the night.

No I do not want to pass the security in order to stay at night. If it is possible to be in the baggage claim or the meeting point over the night so the problem would be solved. But you know, I'm not sure even they let me stay in places such as meeting point or baggage claim and that is the problem!

What about using Lyft? Do they work in 2 or 3 in the morning? Is it safe to ride with them at those times? I wonder maybe this option is better both conveniently and economically, huh?
