Small town near Cincinnati
I would like to move to a small town around the Cincinnati area. Any ideas? Not too far out 30-40 min max.
Interested in good schools and affordable living.
Thanks!

Mariemont or Glendale, most of the rest of what is 30 to 40 minutes aways is just standard cul du sac suburbs

Yeah, except Mariemont isn't exactly affordable living.
Fairfax, Loveland, Milford, Batavia, New Richmond, Lebanon, Waynesville (a little farther out) are a few others. All are small towns with reasonably functioning Main Streets.

My favorite suburbs with both affordable living and good schools are Monroe (really up-and-coming) and Lebanon. Good value for the dollar and a lot of new growth in community and schools. Both are just off the expressway for easy commuting.

How small are you wanting to go? I agree with the person who said Loveland, Milford, Batavia, New Richmond, all are very nice towns, and all, except Milford still have that "small town" feel to them. I would add to that list, Williamsburg, Bethel and Mt. Orab. Mt. Orab being my choice the area is growing a lot, and you get the feel of country, the people are all really nice and they have a Krogers! My son wrestles, and his team goes out there for a meet every year, I've always thought it would be a nice place to live, you really get that "Mayberry" feeling when you're out there, but it's only 30 40 minutes from "civilization."

from my experience, most people 30-45 minutes from 'civilization' live life predominately through their televisions

Different strokes for different folks, jlrosen. I lived in Lebanon for nine years and didn't own a television for most of that time.
And I had a great time.

Go to the west side! Delhi (my home town) or green township, Bridgtown...Great school system...as long as your in Oak Hills district and not West High's...Reasonably priced homes and your about 20 mins away from downtown...
