How often do Tornados hit in and around the city? What areas around the city are the cleanest? Maybe a smaller town with lots of convience...

Also...I know that Indiana has severe radon issues...does the area around Cinc. suffer the same? Oh! Also, does it get a lot of snow? (btw..Reading, OH sounds very interesting)
Look into Milford, Ohio, a suburb of Cincy. I don't know about radon near Cincinnati, but SE Indiana is very rural, SW Ohio has large urban areas and I am sure they would make sure stuff like that is taken care of. Cincinnati gets snow, but not a lot. It has quite a nice climate compared to Cleveland, but I can't complain I can deal with the snow. We really haven't got that much this year. Anyway, Cincinnati has the change of seasons without it being too harsh. Cincinnati is a great city to look into moving to.

Not in tornado alley, we do get them occasionally, but not often. The last really destructive one was probably 8-9 years ago... but, the area hit wasn't that big of an area compared to the kind of areas that they hit in the plains states.

We don't get a lot of snow, if we do get like a foot or something everything comes to a complete standstill... heck, everything comes to a standstill with an inch. The good thing is, that even when we do get snow, it's usually gone in a day or two.

Check out Hamilton in Butler County -- an older city with its own history, traditions, culture, etc. Often bad-mouthed, but good schools, including a Miami University campus; great youth sports and activities programs; varied cultural events; good city and county park systems; housing cheaper than in most regions around Cincinnati. Easy access to events and attractions in Cincinnati and Dayton. Midway between Cincinnati and Dayton airports. Ten miles to I-75 via Ohio 129 (interstate type highweay). Also close to Indiana. Hamilton is an unknown to many people in Cincinnati area who believe there is no life outside the I-275 beltway. Take a close look.

Default Small town feel

Try Clifton Gaslight. It's a walking community - lots of professionals and lots of different ethnicities. It's a wonderful place to raise kids. Walnut Hills High School is outstanding (and free!) There are also excellent private schools close by). Good Luck

I have a daughter who will be starting high school 9th grade, and one in 7th grade.
Thanks

Go see Clifton and determine what you think. If you are into living in an Urban environment, you will be comfortable. If you prefer suburban - you may not be comfortable. No matter what people on this board reccommend, you'll have to be the final decider of what is "good" or "bad"
