Why is Channel 9 and local 12 or any other tv or radio station so stupid to even let this make news.
The data's are from 2005-2007 this is old news, because some website in the nation posted this "news"as top crime cities, the local stations have something new to share with the people here in Cincinnati
Please stop and start rebuilding the city. All these news guys and reporters live in and around the city, you guys are bringing the city (your city) and economy and housing sale even more down in the city.
I am also planning on moving in or around OTR I feel safe there. As for crime I agree with some other people here, don't get involved with the drugs and you are safe. although I would not walk around in the dark by myself, but I would not do that either in any other neighborhood.

excuse me... never heard anything happened in Colerain???
-COLERAIN TWP. - A fight in the paint aisle Tuesday night at a Big Kmart store here ended with an employee dead, a customer critically injured and the apparent gunman committing suicide, officials said.
The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. in the store at 8451 Colerain Ave. The motive remained unclear.
-COLERAIN TOWNSHIP - Two Colerain Township residents received minor injuries after five people invaded a home in the 9800 block of Norcrest Drive and began fighting late Monday, police say.
_ COLERAIN TOWNSHIP — A man suspected in the weekend drive-by shooting of a Skyline Acres teen surrendered to police Tuesday.
Things happen anywhere!!!

northwoodsman, that's a hell of a coincidence that you live in Colerain.
I can talk to you on a personal level on how bad Colerain is... not from hear-say, but on personal experience (I used to run with the worst of them). Don't be fooled by what you hear/watch.

Oh please, be quiet. Its people like you who need to quit whinning and bring people into your nonsense little internet fights, and just stay out of this forum if you are going to fight all the time.
OTR is making one of the most dramatic changes in the nation. If you can't see this, then do some research and look at all of what is going on. If you are not going to do research and look at the FACTS, then please, be quiet because at this point you are making yourself look bad.

Stop! Its so annoying at this point.
OTR is one of America's best comeback stories for a city neighborhood. Anywhere in the country! Do some research.
And Detroit is down right pathetic. Dead downtown, no jobs, too dependent on the auto industry.
Cincinnati is amazing, lots of construction, diverse economy, one of America's most livable cities, growing population. And OTR is just part of this awesome comeback city.

lmao, you really can't even make a good arguement!
20 million is nothing for a major city like Cincinnati, and guess what, the whole NATION'S economy is in a recession, there are cities out there that are cutting thousands of jobs.
Cincinnati is in the top 10 most diverse cities in the country. I believe it is number 8 per fortune based 500 company. Procter and Gamble, Great American Insurance, Macy's Inc, Kroger, etc... ring a bell?
Do some freaking research. You will see what I am talking about. Look at the skyline, there are cranes dotting the skyline everywhere. The multi billion dollar Banks project, Fountain Square, Cincinnati's new tallest is under construction, the Cincinnati Riverfront Park is under construction. Cincinnati is doing extremely well. The city population is growing, and so is the metro area population.
If you can't see that Cincinnati is an amazing city, and doing extemely well for itself, then don't even post your non-sense. You are an extremely negative person.
And, you clearly know nothing about OTR. I am moving into the Cincinnati area for a job, and I was looking into OTR, and talked to three different realtors about a possible new home location. They all had great things to say about the area, and one realtor said she had 2 different families moving in from California. I also saw plenty of construction, great restaurants, awesome store fronts, and great new lofts. I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN THERE RECENTLY!
BTW, I didn't call you pathetic, I called Detroit pathetic. Read my post fully next time, you will make yourself look better when you go on a rant again!!!
