Actually, I was just getting the habit of automatically saying "Ronald Reagan" when I talk about any highway, airport, building or other public facility. That way I'll be all set when the Republicans finally achieve their goal of naming everything in this country after him...

I've lived here my entire life and this facet of our city culture perturbs me as well. One of the number one questions someone will ask upon meeting is, "What high school did you graduate from?"

When I reply, "Norwood," their response is usually "Oh... [thinking to self, 'next!']"

I love the city but sometimes hate the people. But I guess a lot of people feel that way.

If you're talking about the "cut in the hill" from 71/75 in Kentucky going into Ohio, it's nothing. You should have seen it BEFORE it was straightened. It's a piece of cake now.

Gee, You moved here from the East coast and are surprised...Why do you think that there is a brain-drain that they **** and moan about so much. Move as soon as you are able. I am only here as long as it takes to get enough to leave again. Google 'Dan La Botz' and learn about this "city". The only thing that keeps this miserable excuxe of a locality going is that P & G wants it that way.

I was in NYC recently and had tremendous gratitude for the Midwest. In the Upper West Side, our deli had one kind of cookie; bananas and apples, but no other edible fruit, and there was vomit at the doorway. My host paid 1.1mm for 900 sf of space in a building with a smelly elevator and a view of nothing. It took us 45 minutes to get to the office in midtown and despite a lot of hellos, I failed to have a meaningful conversation with a single person who was not on our payroll.
