I've lived here my entire life and this facet of our city culture perturbs me as well. One of the number one questions someone will ask upon meeting is, "What high school did you graduate from?"

Gee, You moved here from the East coast and are surprised...Why do you think that there is a brain-drain that they **** and moan about so much. Move as soon as you are able. I am only here as long as it takes to get enough to leave again. Google 'Dan La Botz' and learn about this "city". I was in NYC recently and had tremendous gratitude for the Midwest. In the Upper West Side, our deli had one kind of cookie; bananas and apples, but no other edible fruit, and there was vomit at the doorway. My host paid 1.1mm for 900 sf of space in a building with a smelly elevator and a view of nothing. It took us 45 minutes to get to the office in midtown and despite a lot of hellos, I failed to have a meaningful conversation with a single person who was not on our payroll.

I bet you are single and can't find a woman..lol Everyone who complains about their city are single. Fix yourself before you start blaming others.
