hehe Although I didn't go to a catholic school (thank goodness), I'd cringe also if someone said they went to Norwood or Walnut Hills.

A friend of mine in Louisville has a sign backwards across the top of his windshield (so it can be read through the rear view mirror) that says "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT"!

I've thought about a sign like that for years and years...but you know how people would misuse that!!!
My new neighbors are from Irvine, CA and they drive to downtown Cinci and Kenwood Mall all the time. It is all your perspecitve. They think the traffic is so light and easy to get anywhere. I avoid it at all costs...

It will always be the Cross County Highway to me. The liars said it'd be called the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway to appease people and then they dropped the Cross County part on the new signage - I hate that. I also hate that it soesn't run all the way over to Loveland Madeira Road like it should. I guess the people in Indian Hill vetoed that idea which would've really helped traffic flow.

The one thing I have noticed is the merging onto an interstate. Nobody looks! They just get on the interstate and merge into the lane all the while looking forward and never really "merging." I even had a co-irker that came in mad one morning b/c the people on the interstate didn't adjust their speed to let her merge on. I told her that's because the one merging is supposed to adjust THEIR speed, not the other way around.

Trust me, Cincinnatians aren't the only 'Mericans that don't know how to merge!!! I've seen it in every state in the lower 48. I even read an anecdote in a Wall Street Journal column on teenage driving that proves the MEDIA can't even get it right. A mother was quoted as saying that "a SPEEDING truck forced her 16-year old daughter to the shoulder as she tried to merge onto the Ohio Turnpike". (Besdies the merging error, I'd sure like to know how a 16-year old knows that a truck is speeding... ) IMHO, merging is the least-understood driving technique in America.

For What It's Worth

For what it's worth, you can get LaRosa's pizza made with just about any sauce they carry -- pizza, spaghetti, Little Italy even ranch dressing - or you can get NO sauce - just ask for it.
I worked in the LaRosa Phone Center (347-1111) for over 5 years. It was interesting to get some of the requests... One lady was going to visit her son in Indianapolis. She wanted to know the location of the La Rosa on I-74 closest to Indy so she could pick one up for her son.
Another lady, in a layover at CVG begged us to deliver a pizza to her at the airport.
And then there were the Super Bowl revelers in Miami who wanted pizza delivered to them there -- I am pretty sure alcohol was involved in that one!

Things I Hate: Mike Brown
Originally, I wanted to say the Bengals - but that would be critisizing an organization that is every bit a victim of Mike Brown’s incompetence than are we erstwhile fans.
Let’s face it, in the last 18 years, players have come and gone, coaches and trainers have come and gone. The Bengals are even playing their home games in a different stadium.
Two things remain the same – the guy calling all the shots and, with the exception of two or three years, the team's dismal record.
As a fan, it would be nice if we had a team to be proud of be a good exponent of our region but here’s the crux of the issue: some 12 or so years ago, Brown came to the citizens of Hamilton County saying that he could no longer be competitve in the NFL unless we build a new stadium for his team to play in.
The citizens of the county considered the situation, and fairly convincingly agreed to tax ourselves to build the Bengals a new home. So now, everytime anyone in Hamilton County buys anything, from a Cadillac or Lexus to an "eat in" Big Mac and Fries to school supplies, a small part of the purchase price goes to pay off the cost of the Stadium.
Mike Brown therefore, has become our defacto partner in this situation – we did our part, we agreed to a new stadium – even to his insistance that it be an open air stadium because he is such a football “pure-ist”. Now it’s long past the time that he hold up his side of the bargain and do what it takes to make the team competitive!
But being the stubborn ignorant old man that he is, he refuses to change from the style of team management that was antiquated when his father did everything from coach the team to selling hot dogs in the stands.

I still wish to this day that we would have told the Bengals to take a hike, and not let the proverbial door hit them on the way out of town.
