it is fun but its too expensive and parking is horrid, otherwise i would keep going because it really is a nice thing to do!

^ Agree with you on all accounts. Personally, I haven't yet decided whether Taste or Oktoberfest is my favorite Cincy super festival. While the massive crowds simply dismay my wife, they absolutely delight me (of course with my beer in hand).

As far as transportation, living in Norwood as we do near Surrey Square, we simply hop on the Metro, as do many other festival goers. Often enough, even the weekend/holiday buses become crowded - especially when so many XU students hop aboard at Dana Ave and Montgomery Rd.

I don't know if opening day counts but it is far and away my favorite big event downtown. Labor day fireworks are a close second.

I didn't make it down this year but my husband & kids rode their bikes down from East Walnut Hills on Monday. It turned out to be a great idea.
