Default Restaurant at Paddison and Beechmont

It was called Linder's Diner.
Two brothers, Bob and Dan ran it.
Bob became a vice president of Frischs.

the name of the restaurant was Linder's Diner. It was run by Dan and Bob Linder.
They had both curb service as well as indoor servie.

It's interesting to me that this is apparently a thread (if not a forum) visited mostly by east-siders. I don't remember reading anything about the Window Garden, which was on Harrison Ave in Westwood for eons where Henke Winery is now. They even crossed the Cincinnati Maginot Line and had a second location at the southeast corner of Madison and Edwards Rd's - you know, where you enter Hype Park from the north.
Maginot Line? Are you referring to the Sauerkraut Curtain?

There was also a hamburger joint out on Glenway Avenue called Sandy's. Any westsiders remember it?

Someone mentioned Jerry's earlier . . . I think there are still a few of those left in Kentucky.

I also recall a chicken place called The Red Barn -- you could carry out an order of chix in . . . you guessed it . . . a red, barn-shaped box.
Man I loved to eat at The Wheel downtown. I loved the fish sandwich they had there and the best tarter sauce in the world. I asked one of the black guys there who worked behind the line what the ingredients were and the told me--but I can't remember now! This was like in the late 60s or early 70s. Here's an old menu from The Wheel printed in 1928:

That place was GREAT. Unfortunately, it closed around 1974 or 1975. Great soups, meats, etc. Unfortunately, my budget kept me at Burger Chef.

Turns out it was the DX Ranch, way east of town. Thanks to
Gerri Ann for linking to the Cincinnati postcard site: there are
several photos of the place taken who-knows-when. All I
remember is that they had good shoestring fries and some
very kitschy displays out back.

LIKELY?????? I think it was a sure thing. My wife's late aunt had a name for the place which I won't submit here, this being a family site.
