Nice addition! Welcome to C-D! I'd forgotten all about Trolley Tavern. Since I never went there was nothing to remember, lol.

French Bauer also operated a dairy in Hyde Park. The building still stands, and you can see it as you drive down Wasson Rd, just on the other side of the railroad tracks. It's a ramshackle industrial building that looks completely out of place among all of the residences around it.

I've driven and biked down Wasson thousands of times, but for some reason I can't picture this. Where is it exactly?

Big ugly building between Monteith and Hyde Park Ave. It's on the Hyde Park side of Wasson, although they probably don't claim it.

Oh yeah, ha for some reason that building had slipped my mind. Guess since it's been there since I was a kid, it doesn't really stand out like a sore thumb to me anymore.

I roamed all over that area in the 50's when they delivered milk to your back porch in a box.

Ah, I remember the milk delivered to the box. And most of it was in bottles where the cream would separate to the top - just what was needed for dad's coffee.

And there was one on Victory Parkway in Walnut Hills, across from the Alms (east - even-numbered - side, just north of WHT Rd.) It didn't survive the '60s, but the one on Clifton Ave stayed in business for maybe another decade.
They served big orders of the "best" hash browns with breakfast. But the bright lighting and big windows and all that white tile couldn't've been a kind atmosphere for someone nursing a hangover!

Default Floating restaurant that moved to Louisville

Can someone remind me of the name of the floating restaurant that was located in Cincinnati and got towed down to Louisville around 1990 or so. I remember the interior being pink and they had awesome cherry flambeau that they made at the table. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there a few times and can't remember the name. Thanks!!
