From my research and talking to people, top tier would be: Indian Hill, Wyoming, Mariemont, Madeira and for Cincinnati public- grade school: Kilgour area of Hyde Park and Mount Lookout; high school: Walnut Hills High School is considered top tier but you have to test in to it. Indian Hills is generally considered #1 so if you want the very top, IH and the others would be second best - not much difference between the others I listed.

One more thing, if you have read posts from a year or more ago about Clifton area having a top tier school choice in Fairview, they no longer do. It is a complete lottery and Clifton residents have been posting that they have not been selected so they have to send them to the school that they are zoned for which is not very good at all. So beware, Clifton area and Clifton-Gaslight area of Cincinnati has taken a big, negative hit in their school option.
