Default How's the snow?

Local news and AOL make it sound like all of Ohio is under 2 feet of snow. What is it really like in the Cincy area?

At 8AM yesterday I had 9" of snow in the driveway. I shoveled that because I figured only a couple more inches were coming. By 2PM I had another 5" of snow. So I got to shovel the whole thing again. Fortunately it is a pretty light snow and was pretty easy to shovel.

My wife managed to drive home from Columbus in her Civic in the afternoon and said the highways were actually pretty good considering the amount of snowfall.

I have been holed up in the house since Friday morning so I can't really comment on anywhere but my driveway.

We had about 12" conservative estimate - but with easily 2' and 3' drifts. FUN! Fortunately they plowed our street last night, but from the news this morning the interstates out here in the sprawl-burbs look pretty ugly. We may be homebound for a third day.

About 12" in the South Dayton suburbs. In fact, I need to get in gear and take the snow blower to our driveway...

The snow is not bad in this area. We get a few tough days but they clear things pretty quickly. At least when everything is a a standstill no one is going to work...yea! I think we have pretty balanced season in southern Ohio. Right when you are getting tired of winter spring is here

17 inches on Martin Luther King Day in 1994.

How's that for a delayed response?
