It is a fact Cincinnati is the third poorest city in the nation. I would suggest increasing the wealth of the poor. Trickle down Reaganomics do not work.

Jobs and education.

Having a place where the poor can work but can't afford to enjoy doesn't solve anything either.

I agree with jobs and education. The increased tax revenues will provide greater funds to schools, increased earning taxes will help fund social programs. But the government has to generate revenue to provide these services and large concentrations of childless yuppies will help with that.

I agree with that. I hope the city makes a comeback as much as anybody, but some of the celebration seems much premature, that's all. It's Cincinnati. You can understand why I'm worried.

Hillside, I know exactly what you're saying and as much as I appear/am an optimist, I think once we start seeing dirt moved ... we can all exhale. I'm excited about the planned start date, but I will not truly feel the excitement until I see bulldozers working.

I agree. Additionally, Newport is considering a development called Ovation on the opposite shore that could bring even more residents and retail outlets to the riverfront (both sides).

I think Ovation is huge and I know all about it, but this was a huge handicap for The Banks. Bill Butler is not the guy you want handling things. He's a headache and makes any project problematic.

Just look at this ... "Ovation + Bill Butler" ... Click on some of the links. The day Bill Butler lost control of the Banks was the day the Banks moved forward.

Btw, Cincy isn't the 3rd poorest city in the nation. If you think it is, what criteria are you basing this on?
