Hyden , Sounds like me I left there but it didn't leave me . I lived on the other side of 71 , Ehrling rd ,. that begins at the bottom of mansion hill . I went back there several years ago but couldn't believe all those trees . I Bet no one is sled riding down there now . Lived there from 63 to 71 . I remember playing in the field that divided us from the village . I played on an old tractor there that had metal wheels and fishing in that pond ( caught some very small sungrannys ) . Went to Eastwood elementary 65 to 71 and can remember all my teachers Miss Everly ,Mrs.Guard , Miss Smith , Miss Vail,Miss Reid , Miss Trumble , Mrs Queenan ,Miss Chiricosta and gym teacher Mr Shadd . I forgot my girlfriend Donna Ramsey she lived in the village, all the pretty girls lived in the village . Me and my buddy's always said that . ( Funny I can remember that and can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday . Best time of my life !

Blackmont, Welcome to this thread. Where you lived there is a circle of houses.a family named Charlie Becker lived there. He just died last year, Will his son by the same name grew up with my brother. He still is very involved with my family, I always introduce him as a brother because thats how we feel.

Default First time here

I lived in Stratford Manor back in the mid to late 50's. I do remember going to Mansion Hill. Wasn't there a park across the street from the 'Manor', had a swimming pool ? Us kids played kick the can in the middle yard between all of the apt. buildings. My Mom's best friend was Ann Woosley. I believe my little sister was born when we were living at Stratfofd Manor.

Buckeye54, Welcome to this thread How long did you live in the manor? Ann used to come over and she and my parents listen to a Reds game on the radio. She was a very nice woman. What street did you live on? Hyden

A.F.D.,
I think I have been confused about the location of Strathmore and Shelbourne. I just remembered where it was. Did Donna Dean look very much like her mother? A dark haired girl who lived near the Lord's told me her doctor said she did...I am thinking the girl was Donna Dean. It's just one of those vague memories that is nagging at me....
