Looks like Bethany remembers some of the kids in the photos. I'm trying to place PE teacher Mr. Duning. I'm wondering if that's the same PE teacher I had at Eastwood. He and his wife would come over to our place for dinner and social chats once in a while. Very nice people. I can't tell if the guy in the photo is the same teacher or not though. Been far too many years to place the face and the name doesn't ring any loud bells for me.

I see in one photo three kids wearing the school "Safety Patrol Belts" over their shoulder with the silver colored badge attached.

I lived at 5390 Eastwood Dr. Apt. B from 1954-1960. Anyone remember the Sanders/Palatas family?

It would be nice to see each other face to face and talk over old times. We all have such a special place in our hearts for that place....
I for one would love such a reunion . Bring all your pictures and memories . I would enjoy this more than my high school reunion .

Some of those satellite pix are kinda old. Shroder was built just a year or two ago. When I moved away in '04, and Eastwood was still there.

This is such a fun thread to read; I never had any idea there was an entire neighborhood on that site! Best to all of you.

Bethany,a reunion sounds good to me,although we don`t know each other , we would have a lot of things to talk about and lots of memories to share. You are right about the manor having a special place in our hearts.Apparently everyone on this thread feels the same as we do.A..F.D.

A 'reunion' could be at a local restaurant's meeting room - we could just sit and talk and share photos. We've planted a seed...maybe we'll make it happen. I've enjoyed hearing all your memories so much.

Blackmont, I just looked at the class picture on page 31 and her first name starts with an "A". I think a reunion would be real nice. My brother told me this week that over the past weekend he ran in to a manor friend. I wish some of them would get on here. I think I will ask him how to get in touch with them and maybe find more pictures. Hyden

Hyden, did further research about Mrs,Everly . Looked up author of book and it is Anna Lois Kibble Everly . Went to my mom's house to do some digging around in basement and found my kindergarten report card where she had signed Lois everly . Author also stated that she was a school teacher in the Cincinnati public schools for 29 years . I think that it is her . In my search also found class pictures from 65 to 71 Eastwood school . Talked to my mom while I was there and she told me that some of my family had lived there in the fifties after leaving Harlan ,Ky and so i will contacting them to see if they have any pictures .
