I remember playing with Diane & Donna Brown who lived across the street. They were fraternal twins. Diane and I were friends in the 5th and 6th grade. Was your apartment across the street?

Thank you for posting this! I SO do remember your mom. I remember that smile...

JOLB, Yes we did live across the street. Did you live in one of the 3 apartments that faced the street before you get to Kingsley? Hyden

Default More pics from eastwood

This site is so much fun. Every now and again my "Eastwood" memories surface. They are so clear, yet, they play like an old movie,or snipets from another life. I never expected to see communications from others, who also were present on that movie set during the making of
" Eastwood,Stratford Manor"

The picture I posted was of my older sister. I was trying to make sure I understood the process of uploading pictures to the site. Happily, it was very simple and I will be posting more.

In looking through old pictures I came across a box labled Eastwood 1965! There were 20 of them. I rushed them over to a developer and should get them back next week. In the meantime I will post all the pictures that I have available to me.

I have been told that we were there between the years of 1963 and 1969

The school pics are of my sister.

The birthday party is mine. I think 3rd grade because my best friend Marlese (sp) was in them. Seems to me she moved before 4th grade.

Also, pictures of our dog (remember that silly outfit?) and our mom.

I'll post more as I get them.

Jani

Great pictures... What street did you live on? The pics with your Mom and dog looks like one of the alleys but I was just trying to figure out which one. I really like the way the pics inside show how the apts were laid out, I forgot about the fron closet in the living room. Looking forward to more. Hyden

Hey Everybody....I recieved a very nice email from a friend of the family and former Manor resident. She said she really liked this thread and would possibly write in and send pictures.. That would be so good, her family lived in one of the bungalows in our court on Strathmore. I am really looking forward to that and what Shwanoe and others plan on putting on here. Bye for now, Hyden

Cant believe I found this. I left Cincy for good about 1974. I lived in Stratford Manor in 1970 when my first child was born. Went to Madisonville Elementary and Lyon Jr High. I remember very well Arts Chili Kitchen on Whetsel Ave in Madisonville, my first wife worked there. I was good friends with Jerry Pratt but knew nothing about the rest of his family. Pardon me but my mind is racing so some of this might not make sense. I gradutated from Withrow in 1969. I live in Michigan now. My house burned down in 1984, I lost all my old pictures and Withrow Year Book. If anyone knows how I might get another one please let me know. Thank you all for the time you have put in to this blog. I cant put to words what it means to an old dog like me to be taken back 35 years to the sweeter and simpler time of my youth.
