But God has blessed me with wonderful children and grandchildren. Just wish I could have snagged her too.

The Oakley Drive-In pictures were incredible. Never thought I would see that place again. The view from inside looking through the booth to the driveway up hill really struck a cord in my fading memories. Drove that route many times in my youth. Strange how important those days are now. Back then we were just passing time. Now they appear to me as beautiful paintings, their significance unappreciated till now. Those times, places ,events and experiences, friends, girls, all are treasured now
Pictures of Stratford Manor. Would never have seen them without this forum. Thank you everyone. There was a 55 Chevy parked in one of those lots. I just don't have the picture.

Great to find Jerry still kicking and full of it. Thanks again Hyden.

Also sadness that the " ponykegs " and drive-ins and Stratford Manor and the original Coney Island, Crosley Field ect. are gone.
right back at you Don, this has been a special venue for all of us.. who would have thunk little Betty Jean Hyden would one day pull us all back together, in a spirit of mind!!!!! Thanx Jeannie

Thanks to you all for all the compliments , but none of this would have been possible without everyones input, and especially for the help of NightBazzar for posting all those pictures for me. This has truely been alot of fun and will continue to be as others add to it and find it. I thought I came across this by accident, but as you can see God had other plans and that was to make alot of people happy.

If anyone has any contact with anyone from that time then tell them about this, they may just jump in too ... I tell you one thing A.F.D., Ronnie is close I think....real close.. I don't want to forget Dave Doerr for all his pics and answered questions. I look forward to checking back in here tomorrow. Hyden

I went to Eastwood Elem. around 1960-1963 and graduated from Withrow in 1969. I hope this stirs some memories.

Hyden,

The list of names includes my sister, Sandy Sullivan. She remembers many of these people. They are from her age group. I remember a few.

Does anyone know where these people are now?

You deserve the compliments and thanks for starting this thread in the first place. Indeed is has been loads of fun not only like hopping into the Way Back Machine, but seeing so many others who remember the place and the people who lived there. Incredible!

I'm only glad I could help with the pics, but that's nothing. You're the one who had them. Thanks Hyden!

Yes, it is kind of sad to see so much is gone, but as all the posts and photos and videos shown in this entire thread, it certainly hasn't been forgotten. It's a great trip down memory lane.

I'm not sure who the boy is in this photo, Ronnie thinks it might be the boy that lived upstairs last name Moably, I think he looks like the Howard boys, next is DoBee and I think Sandy Lawson , and my cousin Karen who was in from Columbus visiting...she sent me the picture. I'm not sure what year it is but DoBee was born in 56 and she looks to be about 4....maybe some of you guys can tell by the cars what the year may be.. Thanks NightBazaar for posting again ... Hyden
