Northwoodsman, I wonder how far you were from us at 4977 Strathmore.

I would like to find a girl/friend of mine, since we first started school I believe after 6th grade she went to an all girls cathalic school. Her name is Debbie Williams and her mother/grandmother was one of the sweetest ladies around. We called her Mrs Stone When ever you went to her apartment to get Debbie to come out and play, she always insisted that you take a wax bag with hard candy in it She was so nice,but so was Debbie.I figured she probably finished in 72/73. I think about them from time to time. I hope some of you have better luck than me at locating them. Betty Hyden

Hyden, did Debbie Williams go to Marian High School on Madison Road? If so, I can check with some old friends to see if they knew/know of her. Was her mother's last name really Stone?
A lot of the kids from my neighborhood who did not go to public schools went to St. Anthony School and from there they would go to either Marian or Purcell High Schools. Now the two schools have been combined and are co-ed.

RedBankGirl, I am so glad to hear from you.I was going to send you a personal message, he wanted to know if you lived near a family of Meyers? He had a friend named Barry Meyer and he said by your discription of where you lived that you should have been like neighbors. Okay thats done.

Debbie Williams and I went to grade at Eastwood together, I think we did anyway, I know we played together the all came between the back side of our apartments.
debbie went to a cathlic school starting 7th grd and the rest of us went to Lyons Jr. high. Mrs. Stone looked older and Debbie was the only child at home. I know that when you are young everybody looks old but she really looked like she could be her Grandmother. very sweet lady.I don't know what the situation could have been in those days, maybe parents were killed or something or maybe Mrs stone was her mother but remarried. I know I just always wondered about both of them. I would really appreciate any information. but please answer my brothers question first !!!
