Hi -

I am relocating (from NJ) to the Loveland area to be closer to family in early May. My brother has been out there for over 30 years and loves it. My Mom is moving as well and will reside in a very nice Independent Living/Senior Community.

I will be looking for a job and have started trying to establish some contacts. I've got 25+ years of Administrative Assistant experience and a Bachelor's in Business.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to conduct my job search? Naturally I'm looking for as secure a job as possible. I realize downtown Cincinnati offers more than the suburbs, so I'd be interested to hear about what the commute is like whether that be from Loveland or someplace a little closer such as the Indian Hill area. I've worked in the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer product industries but would also welcome exploring a position in a school district, hospital/medical office or geriatric services in an adult community. I've got my resume set up on websites like Indeed and I also have a Linked In profile. I've applied to a few school secretarial jobs already on a website called k12jobspot.

I'm also looking for suggestions on apartments, in case anyone has any direct experience in this area. I will want a 2-bedroom and the maximum monthly rent would be $1400, which will also be based on the job I secure. Though I'd like to be reasonably close to where I work, I have started exploring options and driven by a few of these when previously visiting my brother. Safety is a big priority for me. I realize the larger communities offer more amenities such as pool, events, etc. vs. a smaller apartment community such as Loveland Station. I think both have their pros and cons. Though I do not have a pet, I do want a pet friendly community as I love dogs and cats and enjoy seeing them routinely. I am happy to see that Cincinnati is MUCH more pet friendly than NJ!! Apartments that I've been researching are listed below. If anyone has additional ideas or comments, please share.

Loveland Station
Indian Creek
Nantucket Apartments
Bishop's Gate at Somerset

Thanks very much!

Out of those, I've only had experience with Nantucket Apartments myself from when a friend lived there.

They are typical suburban apartments but nice for what they are worth, would say if that's what you are going for they are a solid choice.
