Greetings,

I am looking at a potential relocation to the Cincinnati area. I would be working in Oxford but my wife would be working in Covington KY. . .trying to determine if this is easily doable and if there's a good "midpoint" so that neither of us would have a horrible commute. We have school age children so school system is important. Our budget is pretty flexible, 400k range would be ideal.

Thanks!

I would look into a few different area. West Chester, Colerain, Glendale, Springdale.
West Chester would easily have the best school system.

Lakota Local schools (which include West Chester) are considered good and should have a wealth of options within your price range. It's equidistant from both Oxford and Covington (~25 miles) but the rush hour commute to Covington and back might prove to be a headache.

Going a bit further west, buying in the Ross Local district will put you closer to Oxford (15 miles) and not much further away from Covington (26-27 miles). This general area is a bit more small town/rural but the schools are considered alright.

Another option could be Oak Hills schools directly west of the city of Cincinnati if you'd like to give your wife a shorter commute (possibly less than 10 miles) but this would put you a bit further from Oxford (30+ miles).

Fairfield is another great area that hasn't been mentioned. Right at the Northern tip of the 275 loop and at the border of Butler and Hamilton Counties. West Chester/Liberty Twp is also another great option and 400k would go a long way in both places.

Default Moving to Cin. area

Hello

This can be done there are great school districts. Plenty of housing or 2 plus acres.

The Harrison area is a easy commute to Oxford or Covington to the south. I have lived in the area

for 40 yrs. Good Luck.
