Lots of great communites within 20 minutes of the University area. Also, consider Pleasant Ridge, Oakley, Clifton and Northside.

Default St. Bernard

We live in St. Bernard and I highly recommend it, especially if you'll be at UC. We're within minutes to UC, and all the hospitals, even Cinci Childrens. We're also about 2 miles from the zoo and we have quick access to 75.

We're trying to sell our house so we can move to Maine, but there's lots that I have really loved about this area that I'll miss. Small, very safe community. Our particular street is a cul de sac and you see kids outside all the time. I feel perfectly safe letting my kids out in the yard or around the circle with an eye out for them through the window. I don't think there's too many places you can do this anymore.
Most people in St. B are within walking distance to the grocery, hair salons, restaurants, library, schools, post office, bus stop etc...
We have a great community pool (actually there are 2 large ones & a baby size) with excellent prices for passes.
We also have dial-a-ride which takes you anywhere in St. B for around .50 cents. It's mostly for the elderly but it's available for anyone.

You'll definately find houses here within a reasonable price.

Good luck with your move!
