Covington and Newport aren't nearly as nice as Mt. Adams. The guy's a real estate agent that's why he's trying to push it. Yeah it's a walk to downtown but you have to cross a long ass bridge first and depending where you are in Newport or Covington it can be 20 minutes to not walking distance at all. Mount Adams is awesome, I'd definately live there if I were you. Cinci is pretty small though, especially compared to Boston. You could find a really nice place up north around the Kenwood area for your budget. That's where I live and it only takes me 15 minutes to get to downtown but there's a bunch of local shopping.
