Default Familiar with West Chester?

Could someone familiar with West Chester fill me in? Is there anything decent in West Chester to be had for $125k to $150k, with three bedrooms?
I have seen some listings online in Beckett Ridge that look affordable. In particular there are quite a few condos available on Mill Creek Circle in lower price ranges. Does anyone know about that street?
And how about older parts of West Chester? I saw a street called Kenneth Street where houses were older and cheaper, but definitely not what you think of when people say "West Chester."
Any thoughts?

Default West Chester

Have you also tried Mason, Ohio? Either Mason or West Chester should have condos in that price range.

try Liberty Township. Lakota schools (the major plus of WestChester), and like Westchestser - no income tax because its a township.

Mason has an income tax.

Friend at work today said she is buying a 4bdrm in Liberty Twp for $149K. It was a distressed sale, and the house is in a nice neighborhood, but needs updating (built in 1979). However it has most recently appraised at $189, so when the market does turn around, hopefully she'll have bought very wisely.

Good luck to you!

Just keep in mind that if you live in a township and work in a city, that city will still level the income tax on you. Also keep in mind gasoline will probably not come down in price any time soon and west chester is very auto centric

Depends if you live in a city that levies an income tax on employees. WestChester does not currently. Springdale does, I'm guessing Cincinnati does.

either way, the OP was interested in WESTCHESTER, and since Liberty TWP is just next door and feels just like WestChester but is cheaper, I thought it was a valid alternative.

DrZero-I lived in West Chester for 12 years...loved it but it is not for me. I lived there before it was all built up and moved out in 1993...then the place really exploded. My best friend and her husband have 3 kids and decided to move out of the area because the schools were packed. I dont know how it is now but that was only about 5 years ago at the most.
As for the streets you mentioned...Mill Creek Circle is the condo area by the old high school on Tylersville I believe. THey have been there for a while and have gone through some up and down periods but the last time I saw them they were on the upswing of upkeep. Kenneth street is the older section by the R/R & Cincy-Dayton interection--its a mix of nice older homes and leads back into a "newer" subdivision which is where my friend moved out of. TO be honest, a lot of people like living in West Chester, but for those of us who grew up there and attended high school when it was ONE high school and only 2 jr. highs, it has grown to much for us to deal with. Best of luck to you...I think you should head back south towards Hartwell :-)
