Hi everyone,

I will be moving to Oxford, OH in early August to begin graduate study. Because of timing, I will be bringing a bridesmaid dress with me for an out-of-town wedding, and I need to find a local seamstress for alterations. I of course need someone who will accept a dress that was purchased at another location (if she works at a bridal store), and I'd prefer recommendations for seamstresses that you've had personal experiences with.

I'm totally unfamiliar with southwestern Ohio, so I can't voice a preference for particular neighborhoods or general areas. But the closer to Oxford, the better.

Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind coming to Cincinnati, there is a "Bridal District" (believe it or not) here in the Reading, Ohio area. There are several places that look really nice on Benson St and I'm sure they do alterations. Here is a link:

main

her prices are very reasonable. my friend was quoted a $200 quote from David's Bridal and pauline did it for $70. I paid $20 to get jeans hemmed and pauline only charges $9. PM me if the moderator cuts the website.
