The eternal Question
Ok - forget about Obama and McCain, $5/gallon gasoline - here is the real question - what chili do you prefer?
This question was brought to mind when my daughter came home from OSU this weekend. The first thing she wanted was to go to Skyline, get a couple of cheese coneys and a threeway.
Years ago my uncle was in the Air Force; he moved all over the country and whenever he came home he went to two places -- White Castle and Empress Chili Parlor.
The thing I cannot understand is, why is this just a Cincinnati thing? I know people have tried to open Cincinnati Chili stores in other cities (daughter says there is one in Columbus but the chili doesn't taste the same) but they never seem to make a go of it.

I don't really care for Cincinnati/Greek style chilli. Hungarian style chilli is the best for hotdogs IMO. You haven't had a good hot dog until you went to: Tony Packos - Hungarian Hot Dogs, Chili, Pickles, & Peppers or Netty's. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I voted 'other' -- Price Hill Chili. Skyline is second. The mere thought of Gold Star makes me turn green.
But a friend's mom in Milford makes the best Cincinnati-style chili I've ever had.

I voted other. Chili Time in St Bernard is, IMHO, still the best.
Empress is 2nd and even though I love Skyline, it's salt content is too high and I swell up.

Never had chili at Chili Time. One thing I remember about Chili Time is that the air conditioning worked very well! Brrrrr ...
