What is Williamsburg, Ohio like?

Is it a desirable area or is it considered "out there"......?

what other areas are desirable?
what areas are considered "out there...or the sticks"..?
any insight will be much appreciated......

What about Blanchester?

Almost anything in Clermont County within 5-10 miles of I-275 along Rt 32 is suburbia.

Blanchester is outlying, a country town, an exurb. Has some suburban developments but it's disconnected from Cincinnati and anything else for that matter.

The main difference is that access to Blanchester is via 2 lane road and Williamsburg is on Rt 32, a 4 lane. 4 lanes tend to "pull in" a town and make it more suburban.

Desirable? You'd have to visit these places and see for yourself.

Blanchester is more self-contained but 'in the sticks' than Williamsburg, which no doubt has become more suburban since the last time I was there. Williamsburg is more accessible to Cincinnati via Ohio 32; Blanchester is out Ohio 28 past Goshen and is more accessible to Wilmington or even Hillsboro than Cincinnati.

I haven't been to Blanchester in ages; it's probably still a classic small town that perhaps has grown around the fringes a bit. And it is twice as big as Williamsburg, at least the village proper is. The 'burbs keep creeping out farther and farther toward Williamsburg, if they haven't arrived already.

Geez. There's a Williamsburg Ohio? (obviously)

I saw the thread title and was wondering if we were talking about Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Williamsburg, VA.

Silly boy. It's between Batavia and Mt. O-rab.

Upstream from East Fork Lake. Don't go swimming in the lake without reading the latest Ohio EPA report on Williamsburg's wastewater treatment plant. Just sayin'.

Williamsburg is obviously a separate town in Clermont Co. However there is also another Williamsburg in the Cincinnati area, the Williamsburg Apartment Complex at 200 West Galbraith Rd. Whern new years ago it was a very nice complex. Since it is reasonably close to Wyoming I assume it is still reasonably nice. Does anyone live there?

I wouldn't say that it's still considered "desirable", but I wouldn't describe it as "bad" either. If you were single/newlywed and needed an affordable place to live with quick access to Cross County/75 it wouldn't be the worst choice.
